General/Senior Accountant (Finance & Accounting)

About the role

Mistral is seeking a proactive General/Senior Accountant to support its rapid growth. You will own a range of accounting activities across multiple entities, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance while helping to scale financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general, auxiliary, and analytical accounting for several entities, covering cash, PP&E, revenue, payroll, purchases and inter‑company transactions.
• Transition accounting tasks from external providers to internal processes.
• Prepare supporting documentation for monthly, quarterly and annual closings on schedule.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate income tax, payroll taxes and other statutory obligations in collaboration with local advisors.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements for France and other jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors to facilitate audit procedures.
• Improve and automate accounting workflows by enhancing the use of ERP, billing systems and TMS.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or Finance (DCG, DSCG, Master’s or equivalent).
• At least 5 years of professional experience, including 2 years in an accounting services firm, preferably with start‑ups, tech or listed companies.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and French accounting standards (PCG).
• Fluent English; French is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on process improvement.
