Senior IT Operations Engineer – Site Services

About the role

The Senior IT Operations Engineer – Site Services provides first‑level IT support for end‑users in Mauritius, handling incidents, troubleshooting hardware and software, and ensuring smooth operation of desktops, mobile devices, printers and conference room equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and log incoming help requests, resolve or escalate incidents promptly.
• Provide remote troubleshooting and on‑site deskside support for PCs, laptops, mobile devices and thin clients.
• Maintain conference rooms, digital signage, and front‑office printers.
• Manage the lifecycle of desktops, laptops, mobile devices and thin clients (stocking, issuing, redeployment, disposal).
• Support local data/voice networks and security devices under L3 guidance.
• Act as IT liaison with site management and manage vendor relationships for hardware/software maintenance.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and use ticketing systems for incident tracking.
• Provide on‑call support for critical issues and work flexible shifts, including weekends.

Required profile

• BA/BS degree in Information Systems or related field (BS in Computer Science preferred).
• Minimum three years of experience in IT infrastructure and desktop support.
• Experience with back‑office operations, printer management and ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• ServiceNow (or similar IT ticketing system).
• SAP client support on Windows (preferred).
• Networking fundamentals: DNS, WINS, switching, routing, VLANs, firewalls.
• Desktop, laptop, mobile device and thin client support.
• Printer management.
