About the role
The Revenue Manager will oversee the hotel's revenue strategy, using IHG tools and standards to maximize room and non‑room income. You will work closely with the General Manager and department heads to align pricing, forecasting, and market mix.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update the master calendar of external events, competitor rate intelligence, RevPAR penetration, and loyalty program metrics.
- Monitor competitor pricing, market dynamics, and demand generators to recommend pricing actions.
- Prepare monthly, rolling three‑month, and full‑year forecasts for rooms, with overviews for F&B and other outlets.
- Lead weekly yield meetings with senior managers and facilitate the Revenue Room Meeting.
- Track booking pace, group wash, cut‑off enforcement, and denied business; approve group proposals above nine rooms.
- Mentor and coach the reservations team, ensuring they are trained on revenue tools and strategies.
- Collaborate with the Area Director of Revenue to ensure compliance with IHG corporate policies.
Required profile
- Proven experience in hotel revenue management or a similar revenue‑focused role.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret market data and forecast trends.
- Excellent communication skills for cross‑departmental collaboration.
