Remote Accountant – Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our remote team on a full‑time basis. The role will handle daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS, and deliver accurate financial data to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure tax compliance.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns and process payroll in line with local regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and expense analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• Professional certification preferred (CPA for US, ACCA/ACA/CIMA for UK).
• Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or SAP.
