Radiologic Technologist

About the role

The Student Health Center at Saint Louis University is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures and support nursing tasks. The role involves direct patient interaction, collaboration with providers, and ensuring high‑quality radiographic images for accurate diagnosis.

Key responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures as ordered by licensed providers using Digital Radiography (DR) equipment.
• Determine proper technique, select voltage, current, and exposure time, and position patients correctly.
• Capture and upload radiologist reviews into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Take vital signs, schedule X‑ray appointments, and follow up on results.
• Conduct EKG examinations, venipuncture, and laboratory collections.
• Administer immunizations and maintain vaccine compliance in the electronic database.
• Order supplies, clean lab equipment, and ensure machine maintenance and physicist reviews are completed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of related experience.
• Certification in Radiologic Technology within six months of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Competency in EKG, venipuncture, and immunization administration is a plus.
