Mechanics and Logistics Driver

About the role

Conservation International is seeking a Mechanics and Logistics Driver to manage its vehicle fleet and provide logistical support at the Antananarivo office. The role combines driver responsibilities with basic vehicle maintenance and office logistics to ensure smooth operations for staff, visitors, and field activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely and safe transportation for staff, guests, and field teams, including airport transfers and site visits.
• Arrange alternative transport when required and coordinate vehicle use through logbooks and registers.
• Maintain vehicle compliance by keeping licenses, inspections, insurance, and registration up to date.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections, minor repairs, and scheduled maintenance, and monitor fuel consumption.
• Keep vehicles clean, tidy, and ready for use.
• Manage office supplies, assets, and meeting logistics, including room setup and coordination with caterers.
• Support field trips by securing equipment, ensuring site accessibility, and handling mail delivery.

Required profile

• Reliable and safety‑focused individual with a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and minor repairs.
• Strong organizational skills to manage logbooks, schedules, and office assets.
• Willingness to work onsite in Antananarivo and support field operations as needed.
