Freight Operator – Mount Maunganui

About the role

Join the high‑performing team at Global Express NZ’s Mount Maunganui branch as a Freight Operator. You will work on a Monday‑Friday shift (11:00 am – 7:30 pm) handling a variety of freight tasks in a fast‑paced, physical environment where safety and teamwork are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely for both road and rail units.
• Scan, sort, and move freight efficiently to meet on‑time targets.
• Operate all handling equipment in a safe and proficient manner.
• Maintain good working relationships and communicate effectively within the team.

Required profile

• Clean Full NZ Class 1 driver’s licence (must have).
• Forklift licence with OSH certification (must have).
• Dangerous Goods endorsement (ideal).
• Customer‑focused attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience driving on New Zealand roads.
