Camp Manager

About the role

The Camp Manager is responsible for the overall management of the TTV camp at Kinross' Tasiast Mine Site in Mauritania. Reporting to the Support Services Manager, the role oversees housing, catering, cleaning, laundry and all related camp administration activities for a population of 4,000‑5,000 people.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of camp services, including accommodation, food services, cleaning, laundry and ancillary support.
• Supervise TMLSA employees and coordinate with external business partners delivering catering, cleaning and laundry services.
• Oversee problem‑solving for routine and complex operational issues within the camp.
• Maintain continuous communication with site stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
• Plan, organize and implement company procedures related to camp operations.
• Control camp inventory and oversee the ordering of supplies.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale camp or facility operations (capacity of 4,000‑5,000 occupants).
• Ability to lead both internal staff and external service providers.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to liaise with site management and stakeholders.
• Experience in handling operational challenges and implementing effective solutions.
