Associate Manager

About the role

The Associate Manager will lead a sub‑team within Apex Group’s Global Business Sector, ensuring operational excellence and high‑quality client deliverables. You will act as a key liaison between clients, internal stakeholders and senior management, driving risk‑aware processes and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all operational aspects of sub‑team deliverables, allocate resources and provide regular updates to the Unit Head.
• Guarantee that client deliverables are 100 % accurate and meet quality standards.
• Develop deep knowledge of individual client requirements and maintain strong client relationships.
• Oversee, review and monitor daily work of team members to ensure timely completion.
• Apply a risk‑minimisation mindset to day‑to‑day activities within the Global Business Sector.
• Prepare and attend directors/shareholders meetings, review Board papers and draft minutes.
• Review and sign off on bank account openings and ensure banking transactions align with company scope.
• Coordinate statutory filings with regulatory bodies such as FSC and ROC.
• Conduct customer due diligence in line with AML regulations and keep records up to date.
• Support fund administration tasks for private equity funds and perform ad‑hoc corporate secretarial duties.
• Mentor and coach team members, identify training needs and communicate them to the Unit Head.
• Promote continuous process improvement and drive efficiency initiatives.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in the Global Business Sector or a related finance environment.
• University degree or substantial progress towards a professional ICSA qualification or equivalent.
• Strong client‑service orientation and excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload and manage time effectively.
• Organised, goal‑oriented and capable of working independently as well as within a team.
