Analyst / Portfolio Assistant – Hedge Fund (Monaco)

About the role

This position offers a unique chance to work side‑by‑side with the Chief Investment Officer of a global hedge fund managing over $1 billion in assets. Based in Monaco, the Analyst/Portfolio Assistant will be immersed in macro‑driven investing, equities, options and inflation‑linked opportunities across multiple asset classes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor a portfolio of more than 100 positions on a daily basis.
• Track market developments, filter relevant information and flag material risks or opportunities.
• Engage with company management, sell‑side analysts and investors to gather differentiated insights.
• Support the CIO in preparing investment memos, performance reports and decision‑making processes.
• Anticipate the CIO’s needs and provide proactive analytical support.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of buy‑side experience in investment banking, private equity or hedge funds.
• Demonstrated passion for financial markets and deep understanding of stock fundamentals.
• Intellectually curious, competitive mindset and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across the investment community.
• Willingness to relocate to Monaco.
